Industry overview

Materials Selected Around Real Service Conditions

Electrical insulation must be selected around voltage, frequency, temperature, thickness, creepage, mechanical stress, chemicals and installation method. Dielectric performance cannot be separated from finished-part geometry and processing.

JAIFUXIN supplies skived PTFE film, FEP and PFA film, PI film, fluoropolymer tubing, sheets and precision insulators. Custom slit widths, thicknesses, cut parts and machined geometries can be reviewed for OEM production.

Engineering priorities

Application Challenges to Define First

These factors guide the material, grade, product form, manufacturing process and inspection plan.

01

Dielectric Performance

Match dielectric strength and loss behavior to thickness, voltage, frequency and environment.

02

Thermal Exposure

Consider continuous temperature, hot spots, cycling and mechanical load at temperature.

03

Thickness Control

Specify nominal thickness, tolerance, roll width, surface treatment and converting method.

04

Installation Durability

Account for bending, abrasion, edges, terminals, chemicals and long-term movement.

Frequently asked questions

Electronics & Electrical Fluoropolymer FAQ

Why is PTFE used for electrical insulation?

PTFE combines dielectric performance with temperature and chemical resistance. Final performance depends on thickness, geometry, processing and the actual electrical environment.

What is the difference between PTFE film and FEP film?

PTFE film offers high temperature capability and is commonly skived; FEP is melt-processable and can provide transparency and heat-sealing behavior. Application conditions determine the better choice.

Can fluoropolymer film be supplied in custom widths?

Slitting, cut sheets and other converting can be reviewed according to material, thickness, width tolerance, roll length and quantity.

Which material is suitable for a machined electrical insulator?

PTFE, PEEK, PCTFE and PI offer different dielectric, strength, temperature and dimensional properties. Use voltage, load, geometry and environment to select.

Can PTFE tubing be used as wire sleeving?

Yes, when the ID, wall thickness, bend radius, installation method, voltage, abrasion and temperature meet the design requirements.

Do you provide dielectric test data?

Required material data, certificates or product testing should be stated during quotation so availability and test methods can be confirmed.
