Industry overview

Materials Selected Around Real Service Conditions

Food and beverage machinery must tolerate cleaning chemicals, water, steam, temperature cycles and repeated motion while limiting wear, residue traps and unplanned downtime. Material grade and documentation must be matched to the actual contact conditions.

JAIFUXIN supplies virgin PTFE, selected filled grades and PEEK as gaskets, seals, guides, bushings and custom parts. Food-contact or regulatory requirements are reviewed order by order; supporting evidence should be confirmed rather than assumed for every product.

Engineering priorities

Application Challenges to Define First

These factors guide the material, grade, product form, manufacturing process and inspection plan.

01

Hygienic Geometry

Reduce crevices and difficult-to-clean features while controlling surface and edge conditions.

02

Cleaning Resistance

Check compatibility with detergents, sanitizers, steam and cleaning temperature.

03

Wear and Friction

Match sliding parts to load, speed, counterface and allowable particle generation.

04

Compliance Evidence

Define the required resin declaration, migration test or other food-contact documentation.

Typical applications

Where Fluoropolymers Support Food & Beverage Processing

Finished design and material suitability remain application-specific. Use these examples as a sourcing and design starting point.

01

Processing Equipment Seals

PTFE gaskets and seals for pumps, valves, mixers and transfer equipment.

02

Guide and Wear Components

Bushings, rails, wear strips and guides for filling, conveying and packaging machinery.

03

Scrapers and Non-Stick Parts

PTFE sheet and machined shapes for release, wiping and residue-control functions.

04

High-Load Components

PEEK gears, bearings and precision parts where strength exceeds typical PTFE capability.

05

Custom Replacement Parts

Drawing-based parts for maintenance, equipment rebuilds and repeat OEM production.

Frequently asked questions

Food & Beverage Processing Fluoropolymer FAQ

Is every PTFE grade suitable for food contact?

No. Suitability depends on the resin, fillers, pigments, manufacturing process and applicable regulations. Required documentation must be confirmed for the specific grade and order.

Should virgin or filled PTFE be used in food machinery?

Virgin PTFE is often considered where purity and broad chemical inertness matter. Filled PTFE may improve wear or creep, but filler suitability and food-contact requirements must be checked.

Can PTFE parts withstand cleaning chemicals?

PTFE resists many cleaning agents, but concentration, temperature, exposure, mechanical stress and the complete assembly must be reviewed.

When is PEEK preferred in food-processing equipment?

PEEK can be preferred for gears, bearings and loaded precision parts requiring greater strength and dimensional stability than PTFE.

Can custom replacement parts be made from a sample?

A sample can support review, but a drawing with critical dimensions, material, tolerances and service conditions is recommended for repeatability.

What documentation should a buyer request?

State the applicable market, contact conditions and required declaration or test report during quotation. Do not assume one certificate covers every material or finished part.
