Virgin PTFE emphasizes chemical resistance, low friction and electrical insulation. Glass, carbon, graphite or bronze fillers can improve selected wear, creep or load properties but also change other characteristics.

Allowance depends on rod diameter, straightness, ovality, finished tolerance and whether stress relief is required. Send the finished drawing so stock size can be selected correctly.
Compare unfilled and reinforced grades against load, speed, counterface, lubrication, temperature and chemical media. A stronger grade is not automatically the best option for every bearing or seal.
