Manufacturing and supply
Jiafuxin supplies PTFE sheets in different thicknesses, structures, and converting formats to match insulation, sealing, lining, wear, and machining requirements.
Molded PTFE sheet provides thicker sections and useful machining allowance for seals, valve components, slide plates, chemical equipment, and structural insulation. Thickness, flatness, grade, finished tolerance, and mechanical load should be confirmed before production.
Skived PTFE sheet is produced as a continuous, flexible sheet with controlled thickness. Thin skived PTFE sheet is widely considered for electrical insulation, release surfaces, chemical barriers, gaskets, and precision-cut components. It can also be supplied as a PTFE sheet roll for slitting, punching, and high-volume converting.
Expanded PTFE sheet has a softer, conformable structure for sealing uneven flange faces. Selection depends on density, compressibility, recovery, thickness, chemical media, pressure, and operating temperature.
Material performance
PTFE sheet is a flat engineering material made from polytetrafluoroethylene. It is selected for demanding chemical, thermal, electrical, sealing, release, and low-friction applications. Virgin, modified, or filled grades can be evaluated according to load, wear, dimensional stability, and finished-part requirements.
Resists many aggressive chemicals and solvents. Final compatibility should be checked against concentration, temperature, stress, and exposure time.
Low surface energy and a low coefficient of friction help reduce adhesion, sticking, and sliding resistance in many applications.
PTFE is commonly used across a broad temperature range, with typical service references from approximately −200°C to +260°C depending on grade and conditions.
Provides useful dielectric performance over a wide frequency range for electrical barriers, cable components, and insulating parts.
Maintains useful performance under prolonged outdoor exposure, sunlight, moisture, and changing weather conditions.
Maintains its form under suitable conditions, although creep and cold flow must be considered under prolonged mechanical load.
Its hydrophobic nature and very low water absorption support electrical, chemical-processing, and outdoor applications.
PTFE has high flame resistance and a high auto-ignition temperature. Final fire performance depends on grade, thickness, and the applicable test standard.

Frequently asked questions
Confirm the resin or compound, manufacturing route, dimensional tolerance, inspection method and batch traceability. The drawing and service conditions should be reviewed before price becomes the deciding factor.
Send the required grade, dimensions, tolerance, quantity, operating temperature, chemical media, mechanical load, documentation and delivery destination. Photos or drawings help prevent quotation assumptions.
Custom dimensions and secondary processing can be reviewed from a drawing, sample or application specification. Feasibility depends on the material, production method, tolerance and order volume.
Sheet and plate often overlap in supplier terminology. Plate generally means thicker, more rigid stock, while sheet may include thinner or roll-form material. Specify exact thickness, tolerance and dimensions.
Teflon™ is a brand name commonly associated with PTFE, while PTFE is the generic polymer name. Buyers should specify the actual resin grade and required properties rather than rely on the trade name alone. See the PTFE material guide.
Virgin PTFE emphasizes chemical resistance, low friction and electrical insulation. Glass, carbon, graphite or bronze fillers can improve selected wear, creep or load properties but also change other characteristics.
Select PTFE Sheets by thickness, flatness, production process, grade, filler, surface and allowable deformation. Final suitability depends on the complete operating environment and required service life.
State the nominal thickness, tolerance, sheet dimensions and flatness required after conditioning. Machined parts may also need extra stock for facing and stress relief.
The correct grade depends on purity, wear, compressive load, creep, electrical performance and chemical exposure. Filled grades improve selected mechanical properties but can change chemical and dielectric behavior.
Samples and prototypes can be reviewed before a production order. Approval criteria should identify critical dimensions, appearance, material grade and any required test records.
