Skived PTFE Sheet

JAIFUXIN manufactures skived PTFE sheets from 0.2 to 6 mm thick for gaskets, chemical linings, electrical insulation, slide surfaces and converted PTFE components.

Skived sheet is continuously cut from a molded cylindrical PTFE billet. This process produces thinner, more flexible material than conventional molded sheet and allows the material to be supplied in rolls, cut sheets or narrow slit widths.

Standard widths include 1000, 1200 and 1500 mm. Common thicknesses are 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.8, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm.

Custom Processing

JAIFUXIN can supply skived PTFE material in full-width rolls, specified roll lengths, cut sheets and narrow slit rolls. One-side or two-side chemical etching is available when the PTFE must be bonded to metal, rubber or another substrate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What thicknesses are available?

Common thicknesses range from 0.2 to 6 mm.

Can skived PTFE sheet be supplied in rolls?

Yes. Roll width and length are selected according to thickness, quantity and winding requirements.

Can the sheet be cut into gaskets?

Yes. Skived PTFE can be punched or die-cut into gaskets, washers, strips and other flat components.

Is skived PTFE suitable for bonding?

Untreated PTFE is difficult to bond. One-side or two-side etching can be specified when adhesive bonding is required.
